The extension may temporarily access the following locally on your device only:

Open tab URLs (to organize and group tabs)

Window/tab structure (for grouping and session management)
User settings (theme, preferences, layout options)

All data is processed locally inside your browser using Chrome Extension APIs.

3. How We Use Data

Any data accessed is used strictly for:

Organizing tabs into smart groups

Saving and restoring sessions
Providing user-defined tab layouts

We do NOT:

Track user browsing history outside the extension

ChronoTab may use Chrome’s built-in storage (chrome.storage) to save:

This data remains on your device only and is not uploaded anywhere.

5. Permissions Explained

ChronoTab may request the following permissions:

tabs → To read and organize open tabs
storage → To save user preferences locally
tabGroups (if used) → To manage grouped tabs
activeTab → To interact with the current tab when needed

These permissions are used only for core functionality.

6. No Internet Data Collection

ChronoTab does NOT:

Send data to external servers
Use remote APIs for tracking
Perform background data syncing
Collect analytics or usage behavior

Everything stays within your browser environment.
