Clarity
Last updated: April 09, 2026
Clarity ("we", "us", or "our") is a simple offline personal finance application that helps users track their expenses, manage budgets, and gain insights into their spending.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection and handling in the Clarity app.
1. Information We Collect
Local Data Only
All your transactions, budgets, and spending insights are stored exclusively on your device using local storage.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your financial or personal data to our servers or any third party.
No Account or Personal Information Required
Clarity does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details such as name, email address, or phone number.
2. Third-Party Services – Google AdMob
The app displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob.
When ads are shown, Google may collect certain anonymous information, including:
Device identifiers
IP address
App interactions (such as screen views and taps)
Approximate location (if enabled)
Diagnostics and crash logs
This information is used by Google for serving personalized ads, measuring ad performance, and improving their services.
For more information about Google’s data practices, please see:

3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any of your locally stored financial data (transactions or budgets) with anyone.
The only external data processing is through Google AdMob as described above.
4. Data Security
Because your transaction and budget data never leaves your device, it remains under your full control. The app does not transmit your personal financial information over the internet (except for the standard ad-related data handled by Google).
5. Your Rights
You can delete all your data anytime by clearing the app’s data or cache from your device settings.
Since we do not store any of your data on our servers, we cannot access or delete your data on your behalf.
6. Children’s Privacy
Clarity is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected in the app and the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised.
