1. Introduction

Pashu Saathi / पशु साथी is an app made to help livestock owners, animal caretakers, and पशुपालक users with animal care information, basic animal problem reporting, nearby veterinary contact search, WhatsApp-based support, rating, and complaint assistance.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, how location is used, how ratings work, and how users can contact us regarding their data.

This app is made for information, support, and animal care assistance purposes only. It is not a government app and it is not an official app of any government department, AHD, IOMMS, or any government scheme.

2. Important Veterinary Disclaimer

Pashu Saathi provides basic animal care information, symptom-based report generation, nearby contact assistance, and general support.

This app does not provide confirmed diagnosis, guaranteed treatment, emergency medical replacement, or professional veterinary examination.

The information shown in the app is only for early awareness and support. For medicine, injection, treatment, surgery, pregnancy-related problems, emergency conditions, or serious illness, users should contact a qualified पशु चिकित्सक / पशु सहायक चिकित्सक / veterinary professional.

Users should not give medicine, injection, or treatment only based on app information.

3. Information We May Collect

Depending on the feature used, the app may collect or store the following information:

- User / पशुपालक name
- Mobile number
- Village / location name entered by the user
- Animal type, such as cow, buffalo, goat, sheep, camel, etc.
- Animal problem or symptoms selected by the user
- Extra animal-related information typed by the user
- Support request information
- Rating information submitted by the user
- Complaint or feedback information submitted by the user
- Device ID generated by the app for rating control
- Doctor / पशु चिकित्सक / पशु सहायक चिकित्सक contact information added by Admin
- Doctor rating average and rating count

The app does not ask users to enter OTP, UPI PIN, bank account details, card details, passwords, or sensitive financial information.

4. Location Information

The app may request the user’s current location only when the user taps the location search button to find nearby पशु चिकित्सक / पशु सहायक चिकित्सक within 20 KM.

The user’s current Latitude and Longitude are used only for nearby search inside the app.

The user’s exact Latitude and Longitude are not sent to the Doctor through WhatsApp message.

When a user sends a WhatsApp report to a Doctor, the message includes the village / location name entered by the user, not the user’s exact Latitude and Longitude.

Users can choose not to allow location permission. If location permission is not allowed, nearby search may not work properly.

5. How We Use Information

We may use the information entered by users for the following purposes:

- To save user profile details on the user’s device
- To generate an animal problem report
- To help users describe animal problems clearly
- To search nearby पशु चिकित्सक / पशु सहायक चिकित्सक
- To prepare a WhatsApp message for the selected Doctor or local animal service contact
- To create support requests
- To show support replies using Support ID
- To collect ratings and feedback
- To improve app safety, quality, and user experience
- To help Admin review contacts, ratings, complaints, and support requests

We use the information only for app functionality, support, communication, service improvement, safety, and animal care assistance.

6. WhatsApp Sharing

Pashu Saathi uses WhatsApp links to help users send animal problem reports.

When the user taps the WhatsApp button, the app creates a message containing the information entered by the user. This may include name, mobile number, village / location name, animal type, problem, and extra details.

The user can review the WhatsApp message before sending it. The message is sent only when the user chooses to send it through WhatsApp.

After the user sends the message, the information is shared with the selected पशु चिकित्सक / पशु सहायक चिकित्सक / local animal service contact.

WhatsApp is a third-party service. Once information is sent through WhatsApp, it is handled according to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy practices.

7. Firebase / Online Database Use

The app may use Firebase / Firestore database for features such as:

- Admin-added veterinary contact list
- Nearby doctor search
- Support requests
- Support messages
- Ratings
- Complaint or feedback review
- App content and service management

Support requests may store user name, mobile number, village, animal problem, extra details, support ID, and support messages.

Ratings may store rating value, device ID, doctor contact ID, village, animal type, problem, and optional note.

Doctor contact details are added and managed by Admin.

8. Doctor / पशु चिकित्सक Contact Information

The app may show local animal service contacts such as:

- पशु चिकित्सक
- पशु सहायक चिकित्सक
- Veterinary support contact
- Local animal service contact

Admin may add doctor or assistant information after checking available details such as qualification, diploma, degree, identity, or service information.

However, users should still confirm identity, availability, service charges, and suitability before taking any paid service.

Users should not share OTP, UPI PIN, bank details, passwords, or advance payment unless they are fully sure and comfortable.

If any person asks for OTP, UPI PIN, bank details, or suspicious payment, the user should avoid sharing it and may submit a complaint.

9. Rating and Feedback

The app may allow users to submit ratings for listed पशु चिकित्सक / पशु सहायक चिकित्सक contacts.

To reduce repeated rating from the same device, the app may generate and store a local Device ID. This Device ID is used only for rating control and app safety.

Rating information may include:

- Rating value
- Device ID
- Doctor contact ID
- User name
- Village / location name
- Animal type
- Problem
- Optional note
- Date and time

Rating average and rating count may be shown to users. Ratings may be reviewed by Admin for service quality and safety.

10. Support ID and Support Chats

The app may create a Support ID when a user sends a support request.

Users can use their Support ID to check replies from Admin or assigned Doctor.

Support ID should be kept safely by the user. Anyone who knows the Support ID may be able to view related support information if the app allows Support ID based access.

Users should not share Support ID publicly.

11. Data Storage and Retention

Some information may be stored locally on the user’s device, such as name, mobile number, village, device ID, and rating status.

Some information may be stored in Firebase / Firestore, such as support requests, support messages, ratings, and Admin-managed contact information.

WhatsApp messages may remain in the WhatsApp chats of the sender and receiver.

Rating, complaint, and support information may be kept as long as needed for support, service quality, safety, misuse prevention, complaint handling, and legal or operational purposes.

12. Data Deletion Request

Users can request deletion of support, rating, complaint, or feedback information that they have submitted.

Please include your name, mobile number, village, Support ID if available, and details of the report / rating / complaint you want removed.

We will try to review deletion requests within a reasonable time.

Please note that we cannot delete messages stored in the WhatsApp account of another receiver, such as a Doctor, assistant, or local service contact. For those messages, the user may need to contact that receiver directly or manage the message from their own WhatsApp account.

13. Data Security

We try to use reasonable app design and database rules to reduce misuse of user information. However, no digital system, database, internet service, or WhatsApp communication is 100% secure.

Users should be careful while sharing personal information through WhatsApp or with any service contact.

Users should never share:

- OTP
- UPI PIN
- Bank details
- Card details
- Passwords
- Sensitive financial information

14. Children’s Privacy

This app is mainly intended for पशुपालक, animal caretakers, and general users who need animal care support.

The app is not specially designed for children.

If a user is under 18 years of age, they should use this app only with the permission and guidance of a parent or guardian.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has shared personal information through the app, they can contact us to request assistance.

15. User Consent

By using the app, entering information, allowing location permission, submitting support requests, giving ratings, or sending WhatsApp reports, the user understands and agrees that the entered information may be used for app functionality and support.

Before sending any WhatsApp report, users should review the message and confirm that the information is correct.

Users should send reports only when they are comfortable sharing the entered information with the selected Doctor / assistant / service contact.

16. Third-Party Services

The app may use or open the following third-party services:

- WhatsApp, for sending reports and communication
- Firebase / Firestore, for database and support features
- Google Play, for app distribution and updates
- WebView, app-building, or hosting platforms, if used to run or display app features
- External websites, if opened through app links

These third-party services may collect or process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

17. Health and Safety Information

The animal health tools in the app are designed for early awareness and support only.

They may help users identify warning signs and create a report, but they do not replace professional veterinary examination.

For serious animal health problems, emergency situations, medicine, injection, surgery, pregnancy-related problems, or severe illness, users should contact a qualified veterinary professional as soon as possible.

18. No Financial Data Collection

The app does not ask users to enter:

- OTP
- UPI PIN
- Bank account details
- Card details
- Passwords
- Sensitive financial information

If any person claims to be connected with the app and asks for such information, users should not share it and should report the issue.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when we add new features, change data practices, add new services, update Firebase / database use, add login, add payment, or change app functionality.

The updated Privacy Policy will include a new effective date. Users are advised to review this policy from time to time.
